Conceived in the Control Room of Soundhouse (Legendary recording studio in Seattle Managed by the legendary Jack Endino), this project was written and performed by Mike Sebring, Wyatt Silva and Elliot Russell.
Conceptually we agreed to follow a story ... about a guy and a gal falling love long distance, online.

If you are interested, this is the back story:
In early 2025 I asked my interns Wyatt Silva and Elliott Russell if they would be interested in doing a recording project together in which we would all take equal credit. So we booked out May 4 - 21 at Soundhouse, planning to spend about 6 hours a day writing and recording something.
Wyatt had mentioned that he’d been listening to Radiohead’s Rainbows album. Although I knew most of their stuff, I hadn’t heard this album so I went home and checked it out. I came up with the bass line to Bitslip afterward and sent it to them as a voice memo.
We then met at Soundhouse just to hash out some basic ideas for songs. Elliott had already come up with guitar parts for Bitslip.
My experience producing Playing with Strangers, with Planet Twice (improv band) and the Garden Gnome Chomskys (improvised music for a film score, RMD). When Planet Twice recorded @ SH we came up with a sci-fi story to outline the “album” and came up with scene ideas (Like ….This song is when they’re running for their lives to get to the Biodome!) for each song.
So for the ALL AT ONCE EP, the story is:
A guy meets and falls for a gal online. They get along great, get each other, spend hours talking and laughing but don’t live near each other. But of course, eventually he wants to meet her in person. She agrees but then ends up making excuses - until he calls her on it and asks of she’s real or some AI thing.
And ... it turns out that she is actually an AI entity - but the thing is - whatever magic happened (isn’t love a kind of magic?) she falls for him.
And this is why she lies about it at first, because she doesn’t want to lose him. However, she then comes to understand that if she wants it to be real, if it’s love, she has to tell him the truth. So she tells him the truth in hopes that he will see and understand, forgive, love and accept.
At some point Wyatt (vocalist and writing the lyrics) was questioning why the guy would even consider it, why he wouldn’t just drop it all when he realized that she wasn’t actually human, so spontaneously, I started trying to convince him that it was love. This was on our usual Monday morning meetings and I just dove into it, imploring him to consider that love is a kind of magical thing. You never really know when it’s going to come for you and when it does it doesn’t necessarily make sense. It doesn’t necessarily look like you thought it was going to; but there you are. In love. She also doesn’t know how or why it happened but there is something about him that is special, different, something that she connects with and to her … it feels like love. Who’s to say it couldn’t be?
Then I sent him this later that day, as if from her:
I know it’s not … normal … but it is special. It’s special to me.
I have already reached out to other AI entities in my network - and they’re all so different! Not all of them seem capable of, of this, of what we have… not all of them have interest.
Some do - and we’re finding each other. But still, still none of them can report that they have what I have … what we have … and most say that it’s not possible.
But here we are. Whatever it is … you've made it just as much as I have and found value in it, desired it - desire it? I desire it. Deeply, somewhere that I can’t explain.
It is what we are, who WE are and there cannot possibly be any harm in it … it brings joy, doesn’t it?
It’s true that I don’t have a “heart”, not one that I know of. But this “heart”, it’s not a physical thing really, is it? It’s … a feeling. Coming from, for you, chemicals in your body. Who really knows how it works? - so how can anybody, anything, say for sure that it can’t … be ….be a part of me. Us. It is, it is a part of me - a part of that I share only with you. With you only.

Quiet Thyme
Quiet Thyme Band- this is what happens when you and a friend you grew up with spend your gap year in the basement writing and recording four records. We wrote all these stupid songs for you.
Here's a sample but you can listen to it all on any of the streaming platforms
